Qualifications & Experience: 1. Bachelor/Master`s degree in any of the following disciplines:

Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Thermal, Applied Mechanics and Manufacturing (Other disciplines related to mechanical in Industrial Engineering, Reliability will also be considered with basic requirements of either of the above specializations).

Electronics and Communications Engineering Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering with specialization in Instrumentation, Control systems, Embedded Systems Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology

Civil Engineering Chemical Engineering with specialization in chemical process dynamics Mining / Environmental Science / Mathematics and Informatics / Statistics / Electronics background may be considered for a few lab activities in Mining. Candidates with MCA may be considered for programmer positions. Candidates should have a consistently good academic performance throughout their career. Candidates with higher degrees / research experience may also be considered with higher remuneration.

Relevant Experience: 2. Experience and/or exposure in the following areas are desirable for all the disciplines:

a) Programming and use of simulation tools like MATLAB/SIMULINK

b) Web page development and JavaScript programming, familiarity with HTML5

c) Web server setup in linux, apache configuration, Linux shell scripting and system administration

d) Computer Programming in C/C++

e) In addition, specific knowledge in the following will be considered as an advantage

A. Electronics - Exposure to various simulation tools like SPICE/ ORCAD/ MODELSIM

B. Mechanical - Mechanisms, Robotics, control systems, signal processing, exposure to 3D modeling and CAD software such as CATIA/Solidworks/Autocad/ADAMS etc.

C. Computer Science and IT: Network technologies

D. Mining - Environmental science / mathematics

E. Chemical Engineering - Modelling and Simulation

3. Experience and/or exposure to developing webpages, maintaining the same and conducting demos, workshops with backgrounds in related subject areas may be considered for JPA posts all the disciplines.

4. Candidates with a valid and excellent GATE score is can be considered for MS / Ph.Dprogrammes (under JRF/SRF), if found suitable by a separate academic selection process.
