Online applications are invited for the positions available in India Meteorological Department for engaging Project Scientist, “B”, Project Scientists “C” & Project Scientists “D” to work on different R&D programmes in the field of meteorology and its allied subjects on Project Mode.

1) Project : Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa (CREAM)
Name of the Post : Project Scientist ‘D’

Pay Scale : Pay Band-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600
Plus (DA & HRA as per GOI rules)
Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Agricultural Sciences or B. Tech in Engineering / Technology (computer Science /Computer Engineering from a recognized
University with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Agricultural Sciences or B.Tech in Engineering / Technology (computer Science /Computer Engineering from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
3) Project : Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa (CREAM)

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Agriculture Meteorology/ Agriculture or Agriculture Physics / Natural Science / or degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent in Computer Science/ Agricultural Engineering .
4) Project : Development of High Impact Severe Weather Forecasting System
Name of the Post : Project Scientist ‘D’

No. of posts : 1 (One)
Place of Posting : New Delhi
Pay Scale : Pay Band-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600
Plus (DA & HRA as per GOI rules)
Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Meteorology or Oceanography or Atmospheric Science or Physics or Geophysics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Applied Physics or Statistics or Computer Science or Electronics and with at least 60% marks at Post Graduation level.
General Conditions:
Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible.
Age Limit : The age of the candidate should not exceed 28 years for Project Scientist ‘B’ as on 1st January, 2015, 40 years for Scientist C as on 1st January, 2015 and & 50 years for Scientist D as on 1st January 2015.
Last date for submission of application is 29th June 2015.
