Qualifications

Essential

For Sr. No. 1 to 5

i) First class in both Master’s Degree and Bachelor Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech.).

For Sr. No. 6

For Chemistry

i) First class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

ii) Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

iii) Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009.

For Humanities (Management)

i) First class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's degree level in a relevant subject (Management) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

ii) Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Master Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Desirable for Sr.No.1 to 6

1. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:

i) Teaching, research, industrial and/ or professional experience in a reputed organization.

ii) Papers presented at conferences and/or in refereed journals.

iii) Candidates with PhD would be considered for higher emoluments.

For Sr. No. 7

i) First class in both Master's Degree and Bachelor Degree in Engineering &/ or Technology in the field of Metallurgy / Materials.

Or

i) First class in both Master's Degree and Bachelor Degree Mechanical (Engineering / Technology)/ Production (Engineering/ Technology) followed by Ph.D in materials/ Metallurgy related topic.

Or

i) First class in Bachelor Degree in Mechanical (Engineering/ Technology)/ Production (Engineering / Technology) followed by First class in Master's Degree in Engineering &/ or Technology in Materials / Metallurgy with Ph.D in Materials / Metallurgy related topic.

Or

i)* First class in Master's Degree in Material Science / Chemistry / Physics followed by first class in Master's Degree of Engineering &/ or Technology in Materials / Metallurgy with Ph. D in Materials / Metallurgy related topic.

Desirable

1. Teaching, research, industrial and/ or professional experience in a reputed organisation.

2. Papers presented at Conference and/or in refereed journals.

* Maximum two posts will be filled with this qualification.

III Pay Band, Academic Grade Pay and Allowances:

Assistant Professor: 15,600-39,100+ AGP 6000
