The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech Course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the subject to availability of vacancies.

Recruitment for CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION, UPSC, 2015

1. CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION: The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to examination. Their admission to all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of admission certificate to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission. Commission take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate has qualified for Interview/Personality Test. 
2. HOW TO APPLY: Candidates are required to apply Online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website. Brief Instructions for filling up the "Online Application Form" given in Appendix-II. 
3. LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS : The online Applications can be filled up to 19th June, 2015 till 11:59 PM after which the link will be disabled. 
4. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The eAdmission Certificate will be made available in the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading by candidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post. 
5. PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS: Candidates should note that there will be penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Age Limits : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the
age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2015 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1983 and not later than 1st August, 1994.

The number of vacancies to be filled on the result of the examination is expected to be approximately 1129 which includes 29 vacancies reserved for P.H. Category, i.e. 13 vacancies for LDCP, 5 Vacancies for B/LV and 11 Vacancies for H.I. The final number of vacancies may undergo change after getting firm number of vacancies from Cadre Controlling Authorities.

FEE : Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).

FACILITATION COUNTER FOR GUIDANCE OF CANDIDATES: In case of any guidance/information/clarification regarding their applications, candidature etc. candidates can contact UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near gate ‘C’ of its campus in person or over Telephone No.

Recruitment for the Posts of INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION,UPSC, 2015

The Union Public Service Commission will hold a Screening Test for selection to Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2015 through Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2015 which will be held on 23rd August, 2015, in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change in the Gazette of India dated the 23rd May 2015.

Candidates are required to apply online only by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in Brief instructions for filling up the online Application Form have been given in Appendix- II. Detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website.

Recruitment for the Post of Senior Research Officer(Research, Statistics, Analysis) in UPSC

Applications are invited to fill up one post of Senior Research Officer (Research, Statistics, Analysis) (General Central Service, Group-‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in the office of UPSC in PB-3 (Rs.15600-39100/-) with Grade Pay Rs.6600/- on Deputation (including short term contract) basis initially for a period of one year which may be extended further as per requirement.

Name of the Post: Senior Research Officer(Research, Statistics, Analysis) (General Central Service, Group-‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial).

Pay Scale: PB-3 (Rs.15600- 39100/-) with Grade Pay Rs.6600/-

Eligibility Conditions: Deputation (including short term contract):

Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union territories or Universities or
Recognized Research Institutions”:-
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
(ii) with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in
the Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- or Pay Band-2, Rs.9300-34800 with Grade pay of Rs.
5400 or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; or
(iii) With six years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in
the Pay Band-2, Rs.9300-34800 with Grade pay of Rs. 4800 or equivalent in the parent
cadre or Department; and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

Essential:-
(i) Master’s Degree in Statistics or Operational Research or Mathematics or Applied Statistics or
Applied Mathematics or Mathematical Statistics from a recognized University or Institute; or
(ii) Master’s Degree in Economics or Sociology or Psychology or Commerce with Statistics as one
of the subject at graduate level or Post Graduate level from a recognized university; and
(b) Possessing five years’ experience of analysis of statistical data and their interpretation in Central
Government or State Government or Universities or Recognized Training Institute or Public
Sector Undertaking or statutory or Autonomous Organizations or Recruitment Boards e.g.
Banking and Railway Recruitment Boards or Indian Institute of Technology or Indian Institute of
Management or Central Board of Secondary Education or State Public Service Commission or
State Boards of Secondary or Technical Education or Staff Selection Commission or Union
Public Service Commission or University Grant Commission or Council of Scientific and
Industrial Research.

Age-limit :- The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
